Our friends over at HotAir.com posted a clip Michael Yon's interview on Fox and Friends .
It reminded me of an interview JD had with (then) Colonel Gurganus
about a reporter who doggedly pursued the preferred media narrative.
Colonel Gurganus has since become General Gurganus, and JD was able to
interview him again in 2007 during the Anbar Awakening.
It is an interesting look at how news from Iraq is 'made.' As I
watched and listened to this interview, I couldn't help asking myself,
"Is this the way all / most reporters are? If it is, how much does that skew
the news we get?" The Outside the Wire Project would not exist without the support of our generous patrons. Freedom isn't free, and neither is traveling to Iraq and embedding with our troops to present an in-depth look at their deployments.
Please help support Outside the Wire by purchasing a DVD !
