Taking a page from John Kerry's tactics, IVAW started Winter Soldier II today.

I am sure this sequel, like Hollywood productions, will not be as good as the original and, in manner reminiscient of Ghengis Kahn, trample upon the facts and the truth. 

These self-styled 'Winter Soldiers' are a far cry from Thomas Paine who in the darkest hours of the American Revolution argued that the cause of liberty and democracy should be continued . 

"THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered;"

A Tyranny, like Mohammedan Jihadists, are not easily conquered; a Tyranny that video tapes then publicizes and celebrates the beheadings of captives; a Tyranny that video tapes and publicizes and celebrates the wonton murder of people whose only offense is they just happen to be at a market should not be allowed to infect one corner of this planet.

Yet these self-styled 'Winter Soldiers' will be arguing capitulation to Tyranny and moral equivalence to those whose intent is to slaughter the innocent rather than accident.

At least the Sunshine Patriot believed in the cause of Liberty.

IVAW in trotting out an old tactic is actually doing the work of the Mohammedan Jihadists, by helping them earn Gross Rating Points in the media battlespace .

To say that IVAW organizers are unwitting dupes to the Mohammedan Jihadists or useful idiots is being charitable.  They know what they plan to do with the publicity from their hearings and panel discussions.

What is the anti-dote for IVAW's publicity poison?  The facts.

And those facts are simple.

The Sunni of Al Anbar province have sided with the coalition against Al Qaida .

When Al Qaida throws everything they have at even a small group of U.S. Soldiers--the soldiers win .

Baghdad, for all its complexity, is being won block by block, neighborhood by neigborhood by true Winter Soldiers who will state for the record, for all the world to see, that they feel the effort in Iraq 'is worth every drop of sweat.'

The modern day heirs to Senator Kerry face an uphill battle.  No longer will people stand by.  And there are many ways to get an accurate account of what is really happening day in and day out, on the ground with video and photographic evidence .
