Last year I posted this stating that,
if I still advised political candidates, I would advise them to pursue
victory .
Victory in Iraq is not only an essential
policy, it is sound politics.
It appears that my argument has stood
the one-year-test-of-time .
In the actual poll, the key section is
the trend lines in the 'Perceptions of Progress.'
Although there are still a lot of people
with buyers remorse, there is no clamor for immediate withdrawal.
And of key concern for Presidential elections
is not the party gap Pew highlights, but the independent gap.
Independents are more likely hold views
similar to Republicans.
If I remember correctly, Senator Obama,
he was Commander in Chief a year ago, would have totally withdrawn all
forces from Iraq by now--except for a token Spec Ops presence.
For now, it appears Sen. Obama is on
the wrong side of History and on the wrong side of the independents
who swing elections.

In other matters-- after another maddening
snag, it appears the DVD will launch for sale on the 11th of March (or
close to.)
