My new Pinnacle body armor arrived.
On my last two trips to Iraq I wore a kevlar vest similar to what a working street cop would wear.
But the Bible says not to test the Lord.
Wearing a vest that will stop a pistol but probably not an AK round for trip number 3 would probably be testing it a bit much.
So, I opted for Pinnacle Armor's Dragon Skin system.
On the Discovery Channel show, Future Weapons, they detonated a grenade under a ballistic dummy wearing a Dragon Skin vest.
The vest ate up all the fragments. Not one fragment got through the Dragon Skin. That sealed the deal for me. And should make my parents feel better.
I wore it today for my afternoon run/hike and while it is heavier than my old vest, it fit well and after break in, should be very flexible.
