This will be my last post for a few days.

First I would like to thank everyone who bought a DVD.  Sales of DVD are what allow me go to Iraq and shoot video, interview the troops and write what I see.

During this trip I will be blogging adventure stories in my normal overly dramatic fashion and telling the stories of the people I encounter.

I will also be looking for the implementation of FM 3-24 and comparing it to Richard Clutterbuck's writings about the Malaya Emergency.

Clutterbuck literally wrote the book on counter insurgency and FM 3-24 reads like a technical manual version of The Long Long War.  Just keep in mind, that it took the British 12 years to finish the job Malaya.

Which means, that even under the best of circumstances, it will take the coalition another 8 years to do the job in Iraq.

I do not know how many video clips will be posted, but I'll try to get lots of screen caps up.  The HD is a different animal than Standard Def. Mini DV.  And I would rather be out shooting video than on base editing it.

There will be plenty of time for editing when I get back to the home office in Salina.

Support independent filmmaking in Iraq.  Buy a DVD.
